Central Park Wedding Locations
Central Park wedding locations boast numerous loving and idyllic settings. Central Park Wedding locations, the green oasis in the center of Manhattan, has many locations for marriage ceremonies and photography. Choose from the manicured lawns of the Conservatory Garden to the natural granite outcropping called Hernshead located over a beautiful lake, to everything in between, Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge, Gapstow Bridge, and Belvedere Castle. For marriage parties with less than 20 visitors, Central Park marriage permits are optional (apart from the Conservatory Garden). However, we suggest you get a marriage permit for certain locations such as The Ladies Pavilion and Hernshead as the permit reserves the specific location so no other marriage can take place during your chosen time. We will be more than happy to organize the permit on your behalf.
The six-acre Conservatory Garden is located at the north end of the reserve by the Vanderbilt Gate entrance. The flower bed is Central Park's only defined flower bed, an exceptional setting for a marriage and allows for beautiful photographs which we will organize for you. The conservatory flower beds boast an exclusive elegance for your exceptional day where you can choose the Italian, English or French garden.
Ladies Pavillion
The Ladies Pavilion at Hernshead is a well liked location for weddings as it offers a perfect setting from which the weddings take place. Couples can stand inside the pavilion taking their vows in front of the lake with the fabulous New York Skyline in the background. This is a magical location to wed and is a photographers' dream.
Bethesda Terrace
Enjoy a loving wedding ceremony on Bethesda Terrace besides one of the world's most photographed fountains – Angel of the Waters. This position is perfect for bigger observances and boasts an attractive backdrop of the lake.
Bow Bridge
Bow Bridge is ranked as one of the world's most attractive cast metal bridges. It is one of the most travelled to and photographed areas in Central Park. The graceful arc which spans sixty feet over the lake, connecting Cherry Hill and the Ramble, has been the background for numerous movies.
Gapstow Bridge
Gapstow Bridge is a Central Park icon established in the southeast corner of the Park, between Fifth Avenue and Central Park South. The bridge, which spans the northeast end of the Pond, is a well liked location for small intimate weddings and boasts a beautiful view of New York City's skyline.
Belvedere Castle
Belvedere Castle is a fairytale-like location to reserve for your wedding ceremony. The castle itself is an observatory and so weddings take place outdoors with a spectacular panoramic outlook of Turtle Pond, the Great Lawn, and the Manhattan skyline.
Cop Cot
Cop Cot is Central Park's biggest rustic timber structure, positioned on a large rock outcropping near Central Park South and the Sixth Avenue entrance. The Cop Cot supplies a splendid outlook of the Pond below and of New York high-rises above giving you striking visual play both rustic and modern. Cop Cot-Scottish for "little dwelling on the crest of the high ground" is apt for bigger parties and easily accessible from the Sixth Avenue entrance to the Park.
